Life Times: CJFH Holds “Internet Plus Precision Medicine” Summit Forum

On January 19, China-Japan Friendship Hospital(CJFH) held "Internet Plus Precise Medicine" Summit Forum and China Precision Medicine Integrated Demonstration System Construction Project Seminar. This forum was mainly organized by CJFH and Chinese Precision Medicine Clinical Research and Application Union and undertaken by Precision Medicine Integrated Application Demonstration System Construction Project Group and National Health and Family Planning Commission Telemedicine Management and Training Center. This forum is the first high-level meeting covering all the tertiary hospitals nationwide held by CJFH in precision medicine area. It is also another major work of improving Chinese precision medicine after establishing Chinese Precision Medicine Clinical Research and Application Union under the guidance of CJFH, founding 1600 cooperating hospital network in actual operation nationwide, compiling Precision Medicine: Medication Outline instructive technical manual and establishing CJFH precision medicine model.

At the meeting, Wang Chen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and CJFH President pointed out that in the present Internet big data era, the emergence of new medical research method and clinical application method made it possible for the widespread application of precision medicine while the establishment of hardware and technology system was especially critical for the implementation of precision medicine. CJFH is steadily improving the establishment of precision medicine demonstration system and the integration of platform and resource now. It is hoped that this seminar could push forward the standardization of precision medicine and promote the transform from definition to practice of precision medicine.

Zhan Qimin, Vice President of Peking University and the Director of Peking University Medicine Department emphasized in his lecture that precision was the necessary requirement of its own development and a great demand of public health while the critical point of dealing with this problem was technological innovation. Improving the medical standards and promoting the transformation research of clinical problems through technological innovation is quite crucial for realizing the goal of establishing healthy China and so as to further achieve the development of innovative country.

Over 300 precision medicine staff from nearly 200 tertiary hospitals in 31 provincial administrative districts of our country participated in the seminar. The awarding ceremony of “Precision medicine integrated application demonstration system construction” demonstration unit and the presentation ceremony of “National Health and Family Planning Commission Telemedicine Management and Training Center consultation experts” were also held at the seminar.
