On January 10, 2019, an aeromedical rescue alliance was established in the city of Datong through a partnership among health providers and air carriers including the Datong Fifth People's Hospital, the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, and the Jinhui General Aviation Co., Ltd that are located in three different regions. Ms. Ying Jiaoqian, deputy director of the Medical Affairs Department at CJFH delivered a speech on key aspects in developing an aeromedical rescue system.

The alliance will boost the development of critical care medicine by bringing more cases by air to critical care units in these hospitals. It will also help patients who need organ transplants save a lot of time and space. Furthermore, the aeromedical rescue system is expected to beef up the professional development of the medical institutions.
