CJFH signed Working Agreement on Health Promotion in Poverty Alleviation for 2019 with Baguo Street Community Health Service Center of Lhasa’s Chengguan District

On the morning of December 21, 2018, China-Japan Friendship Hospital (CJFH) and Bagou Street Community Health Service Center held a signing ceremony for the 2019 targeted assistance agreement in the Chengguan District of Lhasa City. Dr. Sun Yang, President  of CJFH, Mr. Hu Xuejun, Deputy Director of Tibet Autonomous Region Health Committee, Mr. Zhaxi Deji Director of Lhasa Health and Family Planning Commission, Mr. Nima Cangjie. Deputy Director of Chengguan District Government, and Mr. Tang Xiaojun, Director of Chengguan District Health and Family Planning Commission attended the event.
Mr. Wang Kai, Director of Bajiao Street Community Health Service Center briefed the visitors on the basic situation of the institute. And Mr.Tang Xiaojun, director of the Health and Family Planning Department of Chengguan District where the community service center is located, gave a brief progress report on the  work that has been done from in 2016-2018 and expressed sincere gratitude to CJFH. In the end, Dr. Jia Cunbo, Director of Medical Reform and Medical Development Office of CJFH introduced the 2019 counterpart assistance program.
Dr. Sun Yang, stressed that the CPC Committee of CJFH attaches great importance to the counterpart supporting work, putting the assistance as a key task for the hospital to implement the decision of the committee. Task forces led by leaders of CJFH have made several visits to the autonomous region where they held talks with local leaders of the Health and Family Planning Commission of Chengguan District and the Bajiao Community Health Service Center to understand more of their needs so they could develop a proper plan. Furthermore, the Medical Reform and Medical Development Office of CJFH has coordinated relevant clinical departments and members of Medical alliance of CJFH, including community health service centers in Chaoyang District, Beijing to conduct targeted guidance for Bayu Community Health Service Center and make use of telemedicine systems, having carried out  remote training for medical technicians in all community health service centers in Chengguan District for 4 times. And the group-based model will be adopted to further strengthen the assistance program. In addition, according to the needs of the recipients, the hospital recently sent two nursing experts to Tibet to fully support the medical capabilities of the recipients and the training of talent teams. Since CJFH has accepted the task of helping the counterparts, we must do a good job in doing the relevant work. In 2019, the hospital will implement the agreement in accordance with the requirements of the National Health Commission's work plan and work to yield great results.
On behalf of Health Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region, Mr. Hu Xuejun expressed his welcome and sincere gratitude to the leaders and experts of CJFH for entering Tibet and signing the contract. He hoped that the two sides will regard the agreement as a new starting point and conscientiously follow the requirements of Lhasa Health and Family Planning Commission and Chengguan District Government to standardize operational management, improve medical quality, cultivate local talents, and expand service areas, and continuously improve the basic unit, and promote the construction of public health service level and connotation. He also expected that the two sides will fully communicate and exchange with each other, carrying out the cooperation in accordance with the established goals, continuing to summarize and innovate, taking the improvement of medical level and service quality as the central task, deepening the system reform, innovating the management mode, paying close attention to the construction of specialties, and pooling the wisdom and strength of all parties so as to jointly promote the healthy development of the medical and health undertakings in Tibet Autonomous Region, make new and greater contributions to building a well-off society in an all-round way, and do a good job as a health gatekeeper for the people of all ethnic groups in the jurisdiction.
Those who were also present in the meeting include leaders of relevant clinical departments, CJFH experts who are working in Tibet, health officials of Tibet Autonomous Region and the city of Lhasa, as well as staff of the Bajiao Community Health Service Center.
After the signing ceremony, the visitors toured the community service center.
