CJFH Hosted the Training Class on "the Important Role of Medical Records in Medical Disputes"

At 9 am on September 5, 2018, CJFH, as the director unit of Beijing Municipal Medical Records Quality Control Center, successfully hosted the training class of "the Important Role of Medical Records in Medical Disputes" in accordance with the established Beijing Municipal Continuing Education Projects. Mr. Jiao Jianjun, director of Beijing Municipal Medical Records Quality Control and Improvement Center and head of the CJFH’s Division of Medical Record, presided over the training. More than 200 attendees from various medical institutions in Beijing attended the training course. The center awarded each student credits of Beijing Municipal Continuing Education Program Type II.
 
On the morning of September 5, Mr. Jiao talked about the purpose and significance of this training and introduced the lecturers. In the following training session, four lecturers talked about "the Important Role of Medical Records in Medical Disputes" from different perspectives. He also elaborated on how to write medical records in line with laws and regulations. Ji Lei, a lawyer from Beijing Huawei Law Firm, stressed the important status of medical records in medical disputes with some actual cases as evidence. And Liu Xin, a professor from the China University of Political Science and Law, made a detailed interpretation of each clause related to medical records in the upcoming "Medical Disputes Prevention and Handling Regulations", especially about the background of the regulations, highlighting the challenges and requirements of the new regulations; Finally, Xu Xiwu, deputy director of the Medical Department of Beijing Hospital highlighted the significance of medical records in medical disputes from the perspective of electronic medical records management.
 
This training arranged a session where attendees could ask the lecturers questions, so that they could communicate and discuss the problems in their practice with the lecturers. 
 
At the end of the one-day training, all the participants agreed that this training was of rich content, high level and great use, especially the lecture on "Medical Disputes Prevention and Handling Regulations", which they said would be of great help to their future work. They also expressed their gratitude to the lecturers and the Beijing Municipal Medical Records Quality Control Center for organizing such an event.
